Sharp Corporation of Australia has announced the release of the new PG-F267X DLP® short-throw projector delivering excellent presentation performance for both business and education applications.
Featuring a short-throw lens, the PG-F267X provides impressive presentations in limited space or a small room. Requiring only 1.3 metres to project a 100 inch diagonal picture, the projector can be placed close to a wall or screen to free up space during business meetings or classroom situations. With its short throw capability it is suitable for installations with electronic whiteboards. It allows distraction-free presentations by reducing presenter’s shadow on the image, and prevents eye glare from the projector light.
The projector’s BrilliantColour™ technology and six-segment colour wheel delivers superb picture brilliance and vastly superior colour nuances. Crisp details and sharper blacks are produced thanks to a high 2200:1 contrast ratio. The PG-F267X boasts 2500 ANSI lumens brightness and can projector high resolution images up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) and SXGA+ (1400 x 1050). It is also compatible with digital high definition 1080p.
Connection to other equipment is made easy thanks to multiple input terminals including DVI-I for digital and analogue input, D-sub terminals (in/out) as well as compatibility with AV equipment, computers and video game consoles.
The PG-F267X is equipped with Sharp’s Unique Network System providing remote access and management of the projector via a LAN connection. It enables projector control with a web browser, remote periodic diagnosis and auto email sending, the ability to link to a specific website, and monitoring for theft deterrence. The projector is also compatible with devices that support PJLink™.
Other useful features include image shift function, theft deterrent function system lock, key lock function and presentation-assist functions by remote control (page up/down, pointer, spotlight and mouse control). Superb dust resistance is achieved with a DLP® sealed optical system and dust filter.
The Sharp PG-F267X projector is available now from leading AV specialists and retailers at $2,699 RRP. For further product information and full specifications visit

Sharp Corporation of Australia has announced the release of a new full HD DLP® home theatre front projector that represents great value in the home theatre market. The XVZ15000 offers outstanding brightness and contrast ratio, in a price-competitive model, for unprecedented enjoyment of cinema-at-home experience.
The XV-Z15000 is based on DLP® technology and achieves uniform colour reproduction and high quality pictures for a longer period of time. A 6 segment, 6-speed colour wheel enables flicker-free, high-grade images and accurate colour reproduction. Together with the full HD native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels it delivers high quality 16:9 widescreen movie viewing in picture sizes ranging from 40 to 500 inches.
Incorporating Sharp’s leading edge optoelectronics technology, the XV-Z150000 produces clear and vivid images recreating a true cinematic experience. The 24 Hz true cinema mode delivers the filmmakers’ originally intended frame rate. A dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1 helps to distinguish fine, detailed differences between the darkest and lightest colours and provides exceptional black level reproduction, while a high brightness of 1600 ANSI lumens delivers exquisite picture clarity.
Featuring a sleek design with high-gloss black finish, the XV-Z15000 projector offers a variety of features designed to boost users’ convenience. To ease the projector set-up users can manually adjust the projected image with an image shift function and correct trapezoidal, spherical and cylindrical image distortions with the keystone correction. To correct the picture projection angle V-keystone correction is automatically activated with the press of the button.
The XV-Z15000 CEC function boasts one touch play and system standby when connected with compatible devices such as Sharp Blu-ray and DVD players connected via HDMI. To add users’ convenience the projector construction ensures whisper quiet operation with a maximum noise level of 25dB in ‘Eco + Quiet’ mode.
Maintenance issues are effectively minimised thanks to the projector’s DLP® sealed optical system and filter-free construction. A new lamp design provides easy access and allows quick and safe replacement even when the projector is mounted on the ceiling.
Sharp has ensured optimum connectivity to external equipment with a wide range of input terminals including 2 x HDMI (version 1.3 with x.v.Color) for secure digital connection with HD equipment. Other connectors include PC input (D-sub 15-pin), component (3RCA), S-Video and composite, as well as a RS-232C (mini DIN 9-pin) terminal for custom installations.
The Sharp XV-Z15000 is available now from leading AV specialists and is priced at RRP $4,399. For further product information and full specifications visit www.sharp.net.au or call 1300 135 530.
