Sharp Corporation of Australia has announced the release of the new PGF255W DLP® projector featuring widescreen image reproduction, BrillantColour™ technology and the clarity of 2,500 lumens brightness for superb large screen viewing.

Delivering excellent presentation performance for both business and education applications, the Sharp PGF255W projector features a wide screen compatible WXGA (1280 x 800) panel which boasts a 1.3 times larger image than standard XGA. It is also compatible with digital high definition 1080p giving it the added flexibility to be used as a theatre projector.

The projector’s BrilliantColour™ technology delivers superb picture brilliance and vastly superior colour nuances. This extraordinary colour brilliance is achieved through a colour processing algorithm which provides greater depth and vibrancy to intermediate colours such as video and natural landscapes. Adding to the excellent picture quality is a 2200:1 high contrast ratio to deliver crisper detail and sharper blacks.

Offering the level of quietness required for use in business meetings and education situations, the DLP® high speed six-segment colour wheel features non-contact fluid dynamic bearings as well as a front exhaust system, significantly reducing sound output to a low 29dB in ‘Eco +Quiet’ mode.

Connection to other equipment is made easy thanks to multiple input terminals including DVI-I for digital and analogue input, D-sub terminals (in/out) as well as compatibility with AV equipment, computers and video game consoles.

The PGF255W is equipped with Sharp Unique Network System providing remote access and management of the projector via a LAN connection. It enables a wide range of control and diagnosis functions, such as power on, input select and volume adjustment by a computer located in another room, or sending an automatic e-mail message when detecting events like fan break-down, unusual heating or lamp going out. It offers the capability of Network Surveillance System for theft detection as an add-on feature to other hardware protection: system lock and key lock function.

Other useful features include keystone correction and presentation assist functions with pointer, spot light and mouse control. Superb dust resistance is achieved with a DLP® sealed optical system and filter-free design, which requires less maintenance.

The Sharp PGF255W projector is available at all leading electrical retailers at the RRP of $2,699.

Sharp Corporation of Australia has expanded its current French door refrigerator range with the release of two new models SJF602SPBK (602L) and SJF653SPSSL (653L).

With the addition of these two new models Sharp offers consumers a versatile range from which to choose. The SJF602SPBK has an enriched black stainless steel finish that sets it apart from the rest of the range, whilst the SJF653SPSSL stainless steel model blends easily with any kitchen décor.

Improved cosmetic features include a stylish silver trim on the tempered glass shelves and an elegant long pole handle in stainless steel. For increased customer convenience the refrigerator interior is illuminated with LED lighting and the external blue LCD display allows users to customise functions to their preferred settings.

Sharp French Door refrigerators incorporate an innovative Hybrid Cooling System which incorporates an aluminium panel chilled to 0°C, located at the rear of the refrigerator compartment. The panel’s chilled air is spread evenly throughout the compartment minimising loss of food quality by helping to prevent excessive dryness, uneven cooling and over-cooling. An inbuilt nano-deodoriser helps to maintain food quality and freshness. It does this by using a special deodorising filter to reduce unpleasant or strong food odours as the air circulates inside the refrigerator, resulting in a fresher and cleaner fragrance.

Another useful feature is Sharp’s exclusive Plasmacluster Ion system which releases positive and negative Ions from vents inside the refrigerator to help reduce bacteria and airborne mould spores, this helps to keep food fresh for longer storage periods.

All models feature four doors with a practical and spacious interior to improve storage options. The double-door refrigerator compartment is located above the spacious freezer drawer in an ‘upside down’ configuration offering a more practical use of space.

Featuring a generous 770mm internal shelf width in the refrigerator section, storage of wide items such as party platters, storage containers and prepared dishes is made possible. The tempered glass shelves with silver trim can easily be height adjusted to accommodate tall items such as birthday cakes and other difficult to store items. The lower refrigerator compartment is subdivided into convenient drawer-type cases that help maintain the crispness and freshness of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The well-designed two-door freezer compartment allows convenient access with drawertype storage cases. The split door design improves efficiency as one section can be opened at a time, reducing cold air loss. Other features include express freezing/ice making function, holiday mode, timer, door alarm and child lock.

Sharp’s new French door refrigerator range is available now at leading electrical retailers and priced at RRP $4,399 for the 653L SJF653SPSS and RRP $4,179 for the 602L SJF602SPBK.
